Chemwatch staffer Michelle Kulik is off and racing to raise funds for The Royal Flying Doctor Service.
She will be taking part in the 5K Run Melbourne 2017 on July 30.
“My aim is to get fitter and stronger but also to challenge myself in a new way that I have never done before,” said Michelle.
Her charity of choice provides a range of health services, including nursing, GP, mental health and allied health services, telehealth, dental care, patient transfers, health education and 24/7 emergency aeromedical care. The Royal Flying Doctor Service provides this health assistance for rural and remote communities across more than 7 million square kilometres of Australia.
“I am also taking on the difficult, but not impossible and also rewarding, challenge of fundraising $700 for The Royal Flying Doctor Service,” she said.
“They travel, assist and save farmers and workers in rural areas all over the country who do not have close or easy access to medical professionals that are needed in sometimes life threatening situations.”
To help Michelle achieve her goal and assist The Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria, visit her fundraising page here before the end of August.
