|300,000 Substance Chemwatch™ Database to Power Enhanced GHS Wizard® Label Creation Software from Avery Products |
Melbourne, Australia – March 10, 2021: Chemwatch is supplying data from their extensive database for use in the new GHS Wizard subscription service from Avery Products Corporation. Updated in real-time, the database includes over 300,000 classified chemicals. With data from Chemwatch as the backbone to the GHS Wizard, organizations can easily create OSHA-compliant chemical labels in under five minutes.
In the past, label creation was a long and tedious process that took place only through third-party organizations. The process included ensuring the label information was accurate and that the labels themselves were the correct size, durable and chemical-resistant. With the extensive Chemwatch database powering Avery GHS Wizard software, label creation is now very easy.
Updated in real-time, Chemwatch maintains the world’s largest database of chemical regulations. These regulations are used to support the information flowing into the new Avery GHS Wizard. Chemwatch is the world’s leading chemical safety specialist and has become the global leader in this discipline.
In the GHS Wizard, the Chemwatch database is searchable by CAS number or product identifier and auto-fills the professionally designed label template with required chemical information, including:
– Product identifier
– Signal word
– Hazard statements
– Precautionary statements
Once autofill is complete, users can reference their SDS and make adjustments by adding or removing hazard statements, precautionary statements, and pictograms. English and Spanish statements can be added to create a bilingual label. In the GHS Wizard editing canvas, users can customize the label as needed by editing text, adding symbols, images, or logos, as well as barcodes or QR codes that link to SDS on the web. Chemwatch also offers additional online services to provide chemical safety and compliance solutions. For example, empowering users to create their own SDS via their best in class AuthorITe system or Chemwatch GoSDS pay as you go service when the SDS for a particular mixture does not exist. AuthorITe or GoSDS users can create GHS-compliant SDS in 47 different languages with automated links to a region or country-specific regulation.
