Acute renal failure, thrombocytopenia, and microangiopathic hemolytic anemia associated with distorted erythrocytes (‘burr cells’) (medical condition)
A rare condition characterized by acute kidney failure, hemolytic anemia and thrombocytopenia (reduced blood platelet count). The condition is often caused by upper respiratory infections or infectious diarrhea. See also Hemolytic uremic syndrome
