Dejerine syndrome

(dĕ-zhĕ-rēn´) symptoms of radiculitis; namely, distribution of the pain, motor, and sensory defects in the region of the radicular or segmental disturbance of the nerve roots rather than along the course of the peripheral nerve. bulbar syndrome. a polyneuropathy resembling tabes dorsalis, secondary to infection by Corynebacterium diphtheriae and the resultant lesions of peripheral nerves and of the posterior column of the spinal cord; deep sensibility is depressed but tactile sense is normal. Called also diphtheritic polyneuropathy.
